OMOLOGO is an AI-powered interactive installation that transforms the act of confession into a communal ritual.

Participants are invited to anonymously share their confessions.

The printed response is algorithmically programmed to both resonate with the participant’s confession and obscure its original meaning. While the participant recognizes that the response is resonating with their confession, an outsider reading the response won’t be able to guess what the confession was about.

Participants are encouraged to pin their receipt to the wall, forming a communal collage, where the private becomes public.

OMOLOGO was created for queer spaces.

  • OMOLOGO uses a combination of online and local Large Language Models.

  • Highly Sensitive Content Processing: The software is designed to protect participants' privacy by selectively processing highly sensitive confessions locally on the computer, rather than always sending data online.

  • Privacy Statement: Confession inputs are processed anonymously and are not stored or saved. Some inputs may be handled by online AI models to generate responses. Any temporary logs on external servers are used only for security purposes.

  • Ethics & Environmental Statement: The artist recognizes the ethical and evironmental challenges associated with the use of Artificial Intelligence. This work invites us to reflect on the ethical, ecological, cultural aspects of such systems.
